JAMMU, Dec 27: Member of Parliament (MP) from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Jugal Kishore Sharma along with MLA Nowshera, Ravinder Raina and MLA Chamb, Krishan Bhagat, visited village Banpuri, Chowki Choura, Dhakher, where he inaugurated Banpuri Malla Defence Road under BRO and sanctioned Rs 10 lakh for various development works.
While addressing the gathering present on the occasion, Jugal said, “the demand of Banpuri-Malla Road was genuine and public was suffering a lot due to its bad condition. But now the demand of public has been fulfilled and road is constructed by Border Roads Organisation. The road was important as it connects two constituencies Nowshera and Chamb.
He also paid his visit at village Chowki Choura and urged the concerned department for renovation of pond and sanctioned Rs 5 lakh from MPLAD scheme for the same. He said that ponds are the natural water bodies and should be preserved with keen interest as they pay their great usage to the society.
Jugal also visited village Dhakher in Chamb constituency, where he paid obeisance at Geeta Sammelan and had interaction with the public. The demand of a community hall was raised by the public in the meeting and the MP sanctioned Rs 5 lakh from his MPLAD scheme for the same.
He said that a number of schemes have been launched by the Prime Minister for the betterment of each and every citizen of India and the people should take advantage of the Centrally sponsored schemes.
District BJP president, Capt Som Dutt, Major Rakeeb, Senior BJP leaders Jugal Dogra, Sanjeev Verma, Bodh Raj, Jernail Singh, Suresh, Mandal president Sanjay Sharma, Jagan Nath, Kali Dass, Govind Ram, and others were present at the occasion.
