JAMMU, July 10: Lakhanpur Police arrested two drug peddlers along with 12.50 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Lakhanpur led by SHO Inspector Sumeet Sharma under the supervision DySP DAR Kathua Sukhdev Singh and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal intercepted Innova car bearing registration number HR55D-7877.
During checking, police team recovered 12.50 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Harpaul Singh alias Laddi, son of Bawa Singh and Balwinder Singh alias Bittu Pappu, son of Harmail Singh, both residents of Tehsil Bholath District Kapurthala Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 85/2021 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and investigation started.
