JAMMU, Nov 14: Border Police Post (BPP) Dewangarh arrested two drug peddlers and recovered around 6 kilograms of poppy straw from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from BPP Dewangarh led by ASI Sewa Ram laid a naka and intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 5.5 kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of these persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Jarnail Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Dewangarh and Som Raj, son of Banarsi Lal of Magowali, Suchetgarh.
A case under FIR Number 212/19 under section 8/15/29 NDPS Act has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation initiated.
