JAMMU, Mar 20: Gandhi Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 80 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station laid a naka near Green Belt Park and apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered 80 grams heroin from their possession.
The arrested persons have been identified as Tariq Ahmed Lone, son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone of Yaripora, District Kulgam and Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, son of Ghulam Ahmed of District Budgam.
A case under FIR Number 69/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation has been initiated.
Police team led by ASI Som Nath made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani.
