UDHAMPUR, May 17: Two persons were killed and one was injured when a water tanker rolled down into a deep gorge near Kalsot in Panchari area last late night.
Police said a water tanker bearing registration number JK14B-5224 was on its way from Kalsot to Mongari. Near Kalsot village driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into deep gorge. Police party from Panchari and locals of the area rushed to the spot and took the one injured person to Udhampur District Hospital, while two had been died on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Sanjay Kumar (37), son of Prem Chand, resident of Police Line area Udhampur and Ramesh Singh (27), son of Puran Singh, resident of village Kalsot.
The injured was later identified as Samir Kumar (32), son of Prem Nath, residence of Jail Road, Udhampur.
