REASI, July 7: Sixteen persons were injured when a rashly driven passenger bus turned turtle on Khouri road near Kanthan village in Arnas, here today.
The bus, bearing registration number JK02E- 8539, was on way from Dugga to Reasi when it met with the accident. Police has arrested the bus driver, namely Suraj Prakash of New Plot Jammu, for rash driving and registered a case in this connection.
The injured were rushed to Arnas hospital by locals and police. Some of the injured were later shifted to District Hospital Reasi and condition of all of them was stated to be stable.
The injured were identified as; Kuldeep Raj (42), son of Shankar Dass of Surrondi Reasi, Mohd Farooq, son of Hamid Khan of Judda Reasi, Naseema Begum (30), wife of Mohd Kurshid of Judda, her 3-year old son Saqib, Ab Quyoom (46), son of Ibrahim of Barnsal Reasi, Kushyla Devi, wife of Amar Nath of Hander Reasi, Naseem Akhter, wife of Mohd Masood of Dugga, Raksha Devi, wife of Surinder of Surrondi, Baldev Singh, son of Jagat Singh of Danour Reasi, Manzoor Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Dansal Reasi, Jeevan Kumar (12), son of Bittu of Tudsari , Shamshad Begum, wife of Abdul Quyoom of Dansal, Surinder Singh, son of Raj Kumar of Dugga, Raj Kumar, son of Balli Ram of Dugga, Pupsha Devi wife of Krishan Singh of Hander and Krishna Singh, son of Ram Dass of Hinder.
