JAMMU, June 9: At least 15 vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District on Friday, police said.
They said one dumper was seized by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by Inspector Vikram Sharma, SHO Bishnah, a tractor trolley by a team of Police Station Nagrota led by Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, SHO Nagrota, 8 tractor trolleys by a team of Police Post Phallain Mandal led by PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal, and five vehicles by a team of Police Post Chattha led by PSI Harjinder Paul Singh, incharge Police Post Chattha.
“DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries made,” police said, adding that the seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order.
