Two missing persons reunited with families

JAMMU, June 9: In a heartening turn of events, two missing persons were reunited with their families by the police in separate incidents.
The first incident took place at the Border Police Post (BPP) Chakrohi in Jammu. The BPP received information from reliable sources about a mentally disturbed person Gobindo Bhowmick, who was found roaming near the BSF BOP Jai Kishan area.
The police teams of BPP Chakrohi promptly brought the person to the Border Police Post and provided him with meals.
They then conducted a thorough investigation and discovered that Gobindo Bhowmick hailed from the village of Dwipamalita Gram Panchayat Kalyan Pur in the Haora district of West Bengal.
To ensure his proper identification and return to his family, the concerned police station in Bagnan, West Bengal was contacted for verification.
The family of the mentally disturbed person confirmed that he was Gobindo Bhowmick, who had been missing from home.
Finally, Gobindo Bhowmick’s mother, Ashta Bhoumik, arrived at BPP Chakrohi, and after completing all the necessary legal formalities, he was handed over to his mother, bringing relief to both the family and the police.
In the second incident, another person, Akshit Gupta went missing from his home located at Kali Jani in Jammu. The legal heirs of Akshit Gupta lodged a complaint at the Police Post Parade, and a missing report was registered.
The police teams at Police Post Parade, under the leadership of SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar, initiated an investigation into the matter. With diligent efforts, the special police teams were able to locate Akshit Gupta.
The family of the missing person was immediately informed of the successful tracing of Akshit Gupta. After completing all the necessary legal formalities, Akshit Gupta was joyfully reunited with his family.
