14 injured as bus turns turtle

JAMMU, Oct 16: Fourteen persons were injured this morning when a bus turned turtle in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, an over speeding bus bearing registration number JK02AS- 6583, which was on its way from Katra to Jammu turned turtle at Bamyal Morh at about 8.30 this morning.
In the mishap, 14 passengers of the bus got injured. All the injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
The injured persons were identified as Jatin (29) son of Gopi Ram of Chattisgarh, Love Kumar (28) son of Shanker Lal of Chattisgarh, Anjali Pundir (18) daughter of Ranveer Singh of Sharnpur (UP), Chankerdhar (35) son of Rajinder of Bihar, Sudesh (54) wife of Ranveer Singh of Saharnpur, Shano Devi (60) wife of Amar Nath of Ramanagar (Udhampur), Vipan (32) son of Kali Dass of Kot bhalwal, Surinder Kumar (30) son of Jia Lal of Kot Bhalwal, Reena Devi (25) wife of Vicky Rana of Saharnpur (UP), her 10-month old son Kartik Rana, Bala (50) wife of Raj Kumar of Karnal (Haryana), Amar Nath (18) son of Shanker Lal of Chattisgarh, Rajni Bai (25) wife of Amar Lal of UP and Manoj Mandal (35) son of Umesh Mandal of UP.
In this connection, Nagrota police had registered a case and started investigations.
