14 bovines rescued, one arrested

JAMMU, Mar 25: Gadigarh police rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested a smuggler.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gadigarh police post laid a naka near Dharap and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK01E-1412.
During checking, police rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Ashraf Khan, son of Jumma Khan, a resident of Bantalab.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Satwari police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Gadigarh police post SI Shoukat Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
