111th Jayanti of Swami Laxman Joo celebrated with religious fervor, gaiety

JAMMU, Apr 23: The 111th Jayanti of Shivacharya Ishwar-saroop Swami Laxman Joo was celebrated with full religious fervor and gaiety today.
In this connection functions were held at Swami Ji’s Mohinder Nagar Ashram Jammu, Ishwar Ashram, Ishbar Srinagar, Pushpati Mandir Sarwal and other Ashrams of Swami Ji in different parts of country and abroad.
The main function was held at Swami Ji’s Mohinder Nagar Ashram where a large number of devotees drawn from different parts of Jammu thronged from early in the morning to pay obeisance to Swami Ji.
The function started with Guru Stuti, which was followed by recitation of Shivastotravali and Shaiv scriptures. A Maha Yagya was also solemnized on the occasion and the devotees were served with prashad after puranahuti.
The other highlights of the function were day long Bhajan -Kirtan and lectures by scholars of Kashmiri Shaivism on the life history and spiritual experience of Swami Ji and Kashmir Shaivism, Trika philosophy etc.
Swami Ji a great Shivacharya and proponent of Kashmiri Shaivism has his disciples across the world. He was the greatest scholar of Kashmiri Shaivism in 20th century and was highly revered by his disciples.
A large number of devotees also thronged the Pushpati Mandir Sarwal where the function was organized by Kashmir Shaiva Trikka Mathika. The function started with recitation of Gurustuti, Shivastotravali and Shalokas from Shaiv Scriptures. On the occasion the birthday Pooja of  Swami Ji was also organized.
This was followed by serving of prashad to devotees and thereafter Bhjan Kirtan by a musical Kashmiri group was also organized.
The celebrations culminated in Sandhya Puja and prayers to Swami Ji Mahraj for the welfare of mankind.
