10 persons injured in road accidents

Srinagar, Apr 23: Police today said 10 persons were injured in two separate road accidents in Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
A police spokesman said a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK03D-6757 driven by Mubashir Ahmad Sheikh collided with a Truck bearing registration number JK03C-3698 driven by Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Teeli at General Road Khushipora in Kokernag area of the district, resulting in injuries to the driver of Tata Mobile. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said, a Sumo bearing registration number JK03C-8112 carrying school children hit an electric pole at Nowgam in Achabal area of the district, resulting in minor injuries to 9 persons including eight school children and the driver of the vehicle. “All the injured were shifted to Public Health Center Shangus for treatment,” he said.
“Police have registered cases in both the incidents,” the spokesman added.
