JAMMU, Sept 12: One person was killed and two others injured when a vehicle, they were travelling in, hit the road divider and turned turtle here at Bakshi Nagar near Karan Hotel.
The accident took place when a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration No JK02-BB2148, in which the trio was going, hit the road divider near Karan Hotal, Bakshi Nagar, late last night,” police said.
They said the deceased was identified as Ramesh Sharma (55), son of Tilak Kumar and resident of House No 197, Roarian-di-Chappri (New Plot) while the injured were identified as Anil Sharma, resident of Last Morh Sarwal and Yashpal son of Mukhi Ram of Ram Nagar (Udhampur).
“The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital where seriously injured Ramesh Sharma breathed his last,” the police said, adding that a case in this regard has been registered and investigations are on.
