KARGIL, July 25: Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD) and Tribal Affairs, Ch. Zulfkar Ali visited tribal areas of Ladakh and took stock of the grievances of the people. He also met nomads of various areas of J&K puttingup in Drass sector of Kargil besides making surprise inspections of food stores in the area.
After listening to the grievances, the Minister issued on spot directions to Director CA&PD Kashmir for making arrangement of ration to all these nomads living in Ladakh region.
Meanwhile, Minister conducted surprise inspections of Food Store located in Matian and Drass areas in Ladakh region and instructed the officers and officials of CA&PD to ensure displaying of available stock in the store along with rate list.
He said that CA&PD will soon install complaint boxes on all sale centers of CA&PD across the state with phone numbers of Minister, Director, Assistant Director inscribed on them. He said this decision was taken for maintaining accountability and transparency in the department.
