IGP holds Police Darbar at DPL Reasi

REASI, July 25:  Danish Rana, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, addressed to the darbar of Officers and Jawans at District Police Lines Reasi today and also conducted an extensive tour at DPO Reasi.
Accompanied by  Surinder Gupta,  DIG Udhampur-Reasi range and  Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi,  Sanjay Singh Rana,  Addl SP Reasi, Sameer Kotwal, Addl SP Katra, Mohan Lal Sharma, DySP HQRS Reasi and other police officers of District Police Reasi, he stressed upon all ranks of Police to improve their proficiency and gain public confidence.
Reiterating that safety of human lives and public property has remained among top priorities of the force, the IGP said that the J&K Police despite facing tough challenges, has succeeded in prevailing a sense of security among the public. He said that with the active cooperation of the people, the force has succeeded in bringing peace in the District and it is our endeavour to keep the peace maintained at all levels.
During the darbar, the IGP heard the jawans patiently and assured that their problems would be looked into at Zonal level. He also issued on spot directions to DIG Uhampur Reasi Range and SSP Reasi to redress their grievances within their competence. He informed that the welfare of jawans has always been  priority and more welfare schemes have been introduced to benefit the jawans and for their families. For this purpose the Police Organization has launched various welfare schemes, he added.
On the occasion, cheque amounting to Rupees one lakh as a relief contributed by the officers and jawans of district police Reasi,   was paid to the wife of ailing SPO Karan Singh (No.553/SPO-RSI) for treatment.
Crime review meeting was also  conducted by the  IGP at Police Station  Reasi and participants were briefed to finalize the all long pending cases related to various offences.
