JAMMU, May 29: Carrying forward his campaign to address development needs of the people, senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi today kick started development works worth over five lakh in the Jain Bazar and adjoining areas, here.
Lanes of the area were in immediate need of repair and people had approached the leader for early redressal of their issues.
Yudhvir took a note of the demands and the matter was taken up with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Detailed project was prepared and the Corporation started the work on two lanes in the old city locality.
Officers of the Corporation including Param Jit Singh, R.K. Koul and other staff members were present on the occasion to start the works.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir said that the faith posed by the public on the BJP for addressing aspirations of the region would be honoured and all out efforts would be made to come up to the expectations of the people. He said the agenda of alliance between the two parties is based on the foundation of development, peace and progress of the state.
He said demand of the people for a transparent and corruption free government would be ensured by following the common minimum programme worked out between the two coalition partners.
