JAMMU, June 4: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) today opposed opening of all schools and colleges in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing media persons here, president of the YRS Surinder Singh Gilli said that this time is not opportune to open schools and the Government should take all pre-emptive measures otherwise, the students would be put to grave risk.
He said there is need of social distancing and this can’t be maintained by the students once the school and colleges would be thrown open. “Till date no medicine is available to combat the virus, hence, the Government should not take any decision in hurry,” Gilli added.
He further said that the cases of the COVID-19 were rising at fast speed and if the same trend continued then the administration must rethink on its plan.
