SAMBA, July 6: A youth was attacked with some sharp edged weapons by some assailants at village Bassi in Bari Brahmana area last night.
Reports said 3-4 youth led by one Shubam alias Sunny from the same area allegedly attacked one Ankush Kumar (19), son of Ram Lal of Bassi village at around 9.30 pm. The boy was going home when some boys taking advantage of darkness attacked and inflicted stab wounds. The boys then escaped from the spot leaving Ankush in a pool of blood.
The injured was rushed to local hospital and then referred to GMC hospital, Jammu. His condition was said to be serious. The police has registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
