Youth seek intervention of Govt on Ratle project

KISHTWAR, Feb 11: Unemployed youth of Kishtwar district in a meeting here today expressed grave concern over the failure of Government in resuming work on Ratle Power Project in Kishtwar which has been closed since July last year.
The meeting, which was chaired by senior Congress leader and member of civil society Kishtwar, Shamsher  Singh Bhandari made an appeal to Governor N N Vohra and Union Power Minister, Pyush Goel to issue the directives to concerned firm to re-start the work on the project. The meeting urged them that in case they fail to re-start the work at an earliest the contract be given to any other company so that the completion of project is not delayed and the workers who were working in the project get back to job.
Bhandari also demanded that immediate steps be taken to start the work on other major power projects including Pakal Dool, Keru Karthai, Bursar etc so that the power generation in the State gets a boost and unemployed youth get work to earn their bread and butter.
