RAJOURI, May 28: In a hit and run case, a youth was knocked to death near Tariq bridge, on Jammu-Poonch highway here today.
The deceased was later identified as 25-year-old Zafar Iqbal, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Dhanour Jaralan village in Rajouri. Some people noticed the body lying on the road with multiple injuries and informed police. The police party from Rajouri Police Station reached the spot and then shifted the dead body to GMC Rajouri. The police registered a case and started search for the vehicle and the accused driver.
