LEH, Apr 21: A local youth was killed while three others received serious injuries in a scuffle that took place in a restaurant in main market of Leh, late last night.
“The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Thinles Norbu son of Lotus, resident of Hemis Chomoling (at present residing in Kharnakling),” a police official said, adding that the Incident reportedly took place between 11:30 pm and 12 midnight in a restaurant opposite to State Bank of India located in main Market Leh.
The official said that the accused were reportedly under the influence of alcohol. He said police had arrested the accused within few hours of crime. A case FIR No 34/2019 under Section 307 RPC had been lodged at Police Station Leh, he added.
“After post-mortem, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites while other three persons injured in the scuffle are still admitted in SNM Hospital Leh and one of them is in ICU as his condition is serious,” the official added.
