KATRA, Aug 27: A youth died while a 14-year old boy sustained critical injuries when a tractor met with accident while a pilgrim from Delhi died due to cardiac arrest at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan
Reports said that the accident took place at Batli village near Khouri in Reasi when a tractor skidded off the road and fell into a nearby field resulting into serious injuries to 19-year old Pankaj Singh (driver), son of Joginder Singh of Salal Kotli and Parshotam Kumar (14), son of Bodh Raj of Salal Kotli.
Both the injured were shifted to nearby dispensary for first aid and later on referred to DH Reasi where doctors declared Pankaj Singh as brought dead. Parshotam was also referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his critical condition.
Meanwhile, a pilgrim namely Koushal Chand (54), son of Dhayal Chand, resident of Sector-15, Flat-8/52 Rohini Delhi, suddenly fell down in unconscious condition at Bathing Ghat Bhawan. He was immediately shifted to the Bhawan dispensary where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The said pilgrim had come with his family members for Darshan. The dead body was handed over to the family members after legal formalities.
