JAMMU, Apr 26: Influenced by Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit’s people-centric policies, grassroots struggles, and its vocal stand on issues concerning the common masses, a large number of local youth, social activists and prominent citizens joined the party in Central Kashmir district of Budgam today.
According to a press release issued by the party’s central office here, State president, Manish Sahni and Kashmir in-charge Sanjay Bhat welcomed the newly inducted members into the Shiv Sena family through video conferencing.
On the occasion, they said that the growing inclination of youth in Kashmir towards the party is a clear indication that people are now looking for a strong, credible and people-oriented political alternative to address issues related to employment, development and public rights, and that Shiv Sena is living up to that trust.
State president, Manish Sahni said that the continuously rising public support is proof that people are placing their faith in Shiv Sena to raise their voice and seek resolution of grassroots issues. He expressed confidence that the party would emerge stronger across Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days and that the organisation would be expanded to every village and town.
Senior leaders and workers from the Kashmir division, including Farooq Ahmad Khan (vice president), Mushtaq Ahmad Akhoon (working president, Kashmir) and Irshad Ahmad Khan, were present during the programme.
