JAMMU, Jan 28: A youth was injured as Pakistan army resorted to heavy shelling and firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur and Kirni sub sectors of Poonch district.
An 18-year-old youth Ikhlaq Ahmad son of Mohammad Farooq, a resident of Bandi Chechian in Shahpur area was injured after being hit by splinters or mortar shell which exploded near his house.
He has been admitted in the District Hospital Poonch and his condition was stated to be stable.
Indian Army retaliated Pakistan’s shelling and firing effectively leading to heavy exchanges that lasted an hour.
