JAMMU, Mar 31: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree near his residence in holy town Katra.
As per police sources, 20-year-old Rahul Dev Singh, son of Chain Singh of Parthal, Sherpur, tehsil Katra allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree near his residence.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Katra.
After completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Police has taken the cognizance in this regard.
