JAMMU, Mar 16: The 3-day Youth and Faculty Development Programme under the aegis of the Department of Modern Subjects of Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus, Jammu, concluded today.
Dr Yogendra Dixit, Coordinator of Youth and Faculty Development Programme said that the theme of the programme was “Skill Development, Startup Environment and Entrepreneurship among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir”.
The chief guest of the valedictory programme was Prof R K Sinha, Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. Special guest was the Deputy Director, Youth Services and Sports Department while Zorawar Singh Jamwal, General Secretary, Press Club Jammu, was distinguished guest and Dr Udham Das Sharma, SDM, Jammu North was the guest of honor. The programme was presided over by Prof Madan Mohan Jha, Director of the campus.
In the Faculty Development Programme, youth coming from different regions of Jammu and Kashmir were given training on topics related to skill development for 3 days. Training was given to the participants on various topics in 12 sessions.
Campus Director Prof Madan Mohan Jha said that there are many skills in Sanskrit field and immense employment opportunities. There is a need to attract the attention of the youth towards that, he added.
The report of the Faculty Development Programme was presented by Vishal Mahajan of the Department of Modern Subjects. Certificates were given to the participants by the guests. Technical support in the programme was given by Dr Hari Om, Dr Vivek Kumar and research student Nitin. Dr Yogendra Dixit, Coordinator of Faculty Development Programme, presented vote of thanks.
On this occasion, Prof Prabhat Mohapatra, Dr Kailash Das, Dr Madan Kumar Jha, Dr Vivek Kumar, Dr Madan Singh, Kamal Kishore, Maninder Singh, Pradeep Mishra, Dr Sanjay Mishra, Dr Suman Pant, Dr Tejnath Paudel along with participants from different areas of Jammu, Mahant Rohit Shastri and Pt Suman Lal Sharma were also present. The concluding session was conducted by Dr Sunita of the Department of Jyotish.
