RAJOURI, July 25: In two separate incidents, dead bodies of a youth and an elderly man were found hanging in Darhal and Siot area of Rajouri today.
Official sources said that body of 17-year-old, Mohd Showkat, son of Mohd Hafiz, resident of Thanda Chowkian near Bus Stand Darhal was found hanging from ceiling hook at his residence at around 2.20 pm today. The police party reached the spot and then shifted the body to hospital for postmortem. Later, it was handed over to the family. A case was registered in this connection by Darhal police.
Meanwhile, body of 59-year old Mohinder Paul, son of Krishan Lal, resident of Siot was found hanging from a tree near his house at around 4 pm today. The family informed Dharamsal police about the matter.
The police shifted body to hospital for performing necessary legal formalities and then registered a case under section 174 CrPC.
