KISHTWAR, June 19: A youth was drowned in river Chenab near Bhadarkoot area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kishtwar Police Station.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Manit Kumar (22), son of Yog Raj Sharma, a resident of Bhata Palmar slipped and drowned into river Chenab near Bhadarkoot area.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in to fish out the body from the river. The body could not be fished out from the river till last reports were compiled.
Cognizance in this regard has been taken by Kishtwar Police.
