POONCH, June 15: A 20- year-old youth drowned in Betar Nallah near Poonch city today.
Official sources said that the youth was taking bath when suddenly he drifted into the deep water and drowned. The locals fished out him and rushed to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch, where he was declared brought dead.
Deceased was identified as Imtiaz Ahmed (20), son of Manzoor Ahmed, a resident of Gulpur in Poonch.
Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Poonch said that doctors tried to revive him but failed in their attempts. The body was later handed over to the family after performing legal formalities by police.
