UDHAMPUR, Feb 16: A youth died when his Alto car fell in a gorge after colliding head-on with a Truck at Dharmthal on Chenani-Udhampur National Highway, here today.
According to the police report, the Alto car bearing registration number JK08J-0362 and on its way from Chenani towards Udhampur, smashed into a Truck (JK02DE-5297), coming from the opposite direction. Due to impact of the crash, the car fell into adjoining gorge.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and took the injured person to Sub District Hospital Chenani where doctors declared him as brought dead. The deceased was identified as Ashkoor (27), son of Raj Ali of Samroli. Click here to watch video
The driver of the Truck fled away from the spot after the accident and Chenani Police have registered the case in this connection.
