JAMMU, Feb 10: A mentally unstable youth today made abortive attempt on his life by jumping from the roof top of his house in Bagh-e-Bahu area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the youth identified as Rohit Kumar son of Joginder Pal, a resident of Nai Basti (Bagh-e-Bahu) today allegedly jumped from the roof top of his house and received injuries on his head and back.
He was immediately shifted to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar for treatment, where his condition was stated to be stable.
In this connection, a case under Section 309 RPC has been registered at police station Bagh-e-Bahu.
