REASI, Dec 20: A newly married young woman committed suicide by shooting herself at her parental house in village Barkh near Pouni, here this morning.
The deceased was identified as 26-year old Jupinder Kour, wife of Sarvjeet Singh of Barkh in Pouni. She shot herself with 12 bore rifle of her father early in the morning. The family members rushed her to the hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Cause behind taking this extreme step could not be ascertained while a case in this connection has been registered at Police Station Pouni for further investigation.
Reports said that the deceased had come to her parental house and her husband is a driver by profession.
