UDHAMPUR, Mar 26: In an apparent case of suicide, a young widow was today found hanging with ceiling fan hook at her house in village Kotla Panchari,
The deceased was identified as Bishna Devi (35), daughter of Shankar Dass of village Kotla Panchari. She was found hanging with a fan hook under mysterious circumstances.
Family member spotted her hanging and immediately called the police. Panchari police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to Primary Health Center (PHC) Panchari for the postmortem.
Even as it appears to be a case of suicide, Police has started inquest proceeding in this regard under Section 174 CrPC.
Meanwhile, a couple received burn injuries at their home while cooking food on kerosene stove at village Dhanu in Tikri.
The injured couple, namely Arjun Singh (38), son of Rashpal Singh and his wife Ritu Devi were immediately rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
