JAMMU, Feb 21: The dead body of a young man was found hanging at his residence in Vikas Nagar area of Sarwal, during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
“The deceased was identified as Shubham Sharma (26) son of Raj Kumar Sharma, resident of House Number 200, Vikas Nagar (Jammu),” a police official said. He said the body was found hanging from a bed sheet tied with the hook of the ceiling fan.
The official said that the youth was married around 4 to 5 months back. “After completion of all medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites,” he said, adding, no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
Sarwal police had taken cognizance of the matter.
