JAMMU, Feb 22: A young man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in an open field near the Sub-District Hospital Akhnoor today.
A police official said that a passerby noticed the body and alerted the police to take it into custody.
He identified the deceased as Varun Pawar (Goldy) from Lehar, Akhnoor.
According to him, after conducting the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to its legal heirs while as inquest proceedings have been initiated to determine the cause of the death of the individual.
