Young Lawyers Association holds seminar for budding advocates

JAMMU, May 7: The Young Lawyers Association, J&K High Court, Jammu today organized its second seminar as part of an ongoing series dedicated to the learning, guidance and professional development of young advocates.
Sonia Gupta, Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Senior Advocate Vikram Sharma also solicits his presence in the seminar as the keynote speaker.
Addressing the gathering, Sonia Gupta said that “Law is a jealous mistress,” emphasizing that success in the profession requires dedication, sincerity, perseverance, and hard work, which ultimately lead to experience, recognition and professional growth. She encouraged young women lawyers to fully utilise the opportunities and legal support systems presently available and strive for excellence in the field of law.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Sharma stated that true acquaintance with the legal profession comes through personal experience, keen observation, and continuous learning, and that every advocate has a unique journey in the profession. He advised young lawyers to spend maximum time in courts to closely observe courtroom proceedings and develop advocacy skills.
The seminar was attended by the office bearers and members of the Young Lawyers Association, J&K High Court, Jammu, including Advocate Amandeep Sharma (president), Advocate Bhagirath Singh (vice president), Advocate Saksham (general secretary), Advocate Hitesh Koul and Advocate Sushil (treasurer).
Advocate Pardeep Majotra (general secretary, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu), Advocate Monish Chopra, Advocate Rohit Sharma (former president of the Young Lawyers Association, J&K High Court, Jammu) and Advocate Manjit Singh Sarkaria along with a large number of young advocates were also present on the occasion.
