UDHAMPUR, July 3: A young housewife attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at the house of her in-laws in village Jaganoo.
According to the police, Kelasho Devi (31), wife of Girdhari Lal of Jaganoo, consumed some poisonous substance late last night and fell semi-unconscious. Family members rushed her to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors repeatedly washed her stomach. She was responding to the treatment till last reports came in.
Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
