SAMBA, Mar 15: A married young house wife and a factory worker consumed poison in two separate incidents in Samba district.
Police said a married woman consumed some poisonous substance in her house at village Nanak Chak area of Samba district today.
Police said she consumed poisonous substance at her residence at village Nanak Chak area of Samba under mysterious circumstances this morning and started vomiting. When her family members saw her in unconscious state, they shifted her to District Hospital Samba for treatment. But doctors referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital ( GMCH) Jammu for further treatment.
She has been identified as Rekha Devi, 20, wife of Romesh Lal resident of village Nanak Chak Samba. Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
In another incident a man who is working in industry located in SIDCO phase one Samba consumed some poisonous substance in the industry premises during late last night.
Police said during the intervening night, he consumed poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances in HLF industry located at SIDCO phase one Samba. As he started vomiting and fell unconscious his colleagues immediately informed to senior officer of the industry and they immediately brought him to District Hospital Samba for treatment. The doctors washed his stomach and then referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialized treatment.
He has been identified as Dalip Marmu 26 at present in SIDCO phase one Samba. Samba police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
