RAJOURI, May 14: Mystery shrouds the death of a 21-year-old boy whose dead body was recovered from forest area of Taryath in Kalakote Sub Division of district Rajouri today.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Des Raj, resident of Saroh village in Taryath. The family members of the youth said that Ajay left for Jammu two days ago and thereafter his whereabouts were not known.
Some people noticed his body hanging from a tree in Kaitha forest and informed Taryath police. The family members of the boy also reached there after coming to know about the matter. They suspected it as murder as marks of violence were also found around boy’s neck. The police then shifted the body to Taryath hospital for postmortem.
Police said that they have registered a case for investigation under section 174 CrPC. It said that possibility of murder can not be ruled out.
