JAMMU, May 14: The J&K unit of NCP has strongly condemned Pakistan for the ceasefire violation and unprovoked shelling in civilian area causing great sufferings and hardship to the population in border areas of Nowshera sector.
Chairing a meeting of senior office bearers of the, former Minister and NCP State president, Thakur Randhir Singh lashed out at Pakistan for its hostility towards India and violation of international norms targeting the civilian areas.
Singh asked Government and district administration to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the people. He expressed deep grief and anguish over the death of civilians in the shelling and expressed solidarity with the families.
Singh formed a committee under the chairmanship of Choudhary Dev Raj along with RS Billowaria as coordinator, TK Koul, Rishi Kilam, RC Bali, Sandeep Manhas, Abhimanyu Pratap Singh Jamwal and Karor Singh to visit the border areas of Kathua, Akhnoor sector, Chhamb sector, Nowshera sector and Poonch and report back to him.
