JAMMU, Feb 7: Youth National Conference has demanded immediate financial assistance for the people affected with the strong wind-storm that hit many areas of Jammu province two days back.
In a press statement issued here, YNC provincial president Ajaz Jan said that due to windstorm several structures got moderately to severely damaged in different districts of Jammu province including Pir Panjal region and Chenab valley.
He said more than one and a half dozen houses and some schools got damaged in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district while number of structures got damaged in Poonch district also, besides part of Doda and Ramban. Many people have lost roof and turned homeless due to damage caused to the structures. He demanded financial assistance for the affected families.
