JAMMU, May 11: In support of seeking justice for the displaced unemployed left-over candidates, over aged section and relief holders, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) held a protest today at Rajbhawan near here.
A large number of YAIKS volunteers, male and female participated in the demonstration under the leadership of its president, R K Bhat.
R K Bhat appealed to the GoI and Lt. Governor to announce a fresh job package for 15000 educated left-over youth, one-time special compensation for 15000 overaged youth and the enhancement of cash relief assistance to the relief holders, who could not get any benefit of PM’s rehabilitation scheme till date.
During the protest rally, the unemployed youth have given written consent to R K Bhat led YAIKS to plead their cases with the Government.
Bhat said they have shown their interest to work in Kashmir Valley under the PM’s job package.
It was resolved during the protest that a comprehensive struggle will be launched to reconnect the lost roots of the community and for the redressal of their long pending demands. Bhat emphasized that Pandits are the progeny of Lalitadatiya and those terrorists behind KP killings will not deter us from reclaiming our birth place. It’s the right time for the GoI to decide the return module of Pandits on the basis of ground reality, how to resettle them back to their Mother land.
The YAIKS, which is spearheading the struggle of displaced Pandits in general and for its youth in particular, decided to fight the survival issues of the displaced section of the community more vigorously so that every unemployed and over aged youth gets justice in a stipulated time frame.
Bhat also termed the holding of G-20 meet at Srinagar a big decision of Narendra Modi Government and with this decision present Government has created a history.
He said had KPs been in Kashmir they would have welcomed the delegates of G-20 with open arms.
Among others who addressed the protesters included YAIKS vice president, Sanjay Ganjoo, general secretary Sanjeev Koul, media secretary, Sanjay Raina and other Core Group members Kamal Tak, Avtar Ji Dhar, D. N. Bhat, P K Ganjoo, Lovely Bhan, Rohi Nazar, Poonam Sharma, Renu Raina, Shakuntla Bhat etc .
