BHADERWAH, May 21: Youth Action Committee (YAC) today held a strong protest at Seri Bazar Bhaderwah hitting out the prolonged delay in solving Anjali Devi murder case.
Anjali Devi of Village Runta Bhaderwah was found dead under mysterious circumstances on March 16. The people had come on street in thousands to protest against the murder of Anjali.
Bhaderwah Police had assured the public to arrest the murderer and solve the case within 15 days, but has failed to keep the promise.
Naseer Mehboob, president YAC criticised the “false promise” made by the police. Mehboob, while speaking to the agitated masses said, “It has been more than two months now but there has been no fruitful action on the part of the administration of Bhaderwah police.
The YAC has demanded immediate action and arrest of culprits within 10 days, failing which there will be mass agitation and protest.
During the protest, Mohit Sharma, Vice President YAC and other members of the Committee also addressed to the protesters demanding justice for the victim.
