Y V Sharma seeks representation of Jammu businessmen in SERF

JAMMU, Oct 6: Y V Sharma, president Jammu & Kashmir Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the State Government to call an urgent meeting of all the stakeholders from all parts of the State before deciding any package for rehabilitation of flood hit traders in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, he asked the Government to include the representatives of the Joint Chamber (LoC trade) and representatives of trade, industrial and business organizations from Jammu to make State Economic Reconstruction Forum  broad based so that all the victims of the floods and rains from all the parts of the State are speedily and suitability rehabilitated.
Acting on the recommendations of State Economic Reconstruction Forum, the State Government has decided to give number of concessions but SERF is  a conglomerate of traders, industrial and business originations from the Valley and has no representation from Rajouri, Poonch,  Reasi and other  flood effected areas of Jammu province, he explained.
Mr Sharma also appealed to all the trade federations and business organizations in Jammu province to form a joint forum to assess the actual losses and forward it to the concerned authorities without any loss of time.
