JAMMU, Feb 5: Writers’ Forum, Jammu today organized a multilingual mushaira here at KL Sehgal Hall.
The main attraction of the mushaira was that apart from Dogri, Hindi and Urdu, the poets read poems on Pahari language, which highlighted the brotherhood amongst the literary community barring all narrow channels of caste, creed and community. Many poems were devoted to our martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of country.
The poets who participated in the event were Deepak Aasi, Mohan Singh, Amin Banihali, Prof Rajkumar, Anila Singh Charak, Sham Sajan, Ajit Singh Mastana, Hardeep Singh Uppal, Amarjeet Neer, Joginder Pandhi, Krishan Kumar, Sudhir Mahajan, Usha Kiran, Dr Chanchal Bhasin, Suman Pal, Baljeet Singh Raina, Deepak Arsi, Pawan Khajuria, Dr Lalit Mangotra, Dr Adarsh, Kanwaljeet, Swami Anterneerav, Dr Shafak Sopori, Pandit Vidya Rattan, Dr Prithpal Singh Betab, Rajinder Ranzha, Rajpal Mastana, Ajeetpal Singh, Zulfikar Naqvi, Amita Mehta and others.
Pritpal Singh Betab, Dr Arvinder Aman, Additional secretary, Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Dr Lalit Magotra, Dr Rajkumar and Dr Adarsh presided over the event. The programme was attended by many theatrics, dramatist and lovers of literature.
