JAMMU, June 18: Five day workshop of key resource persons in “Teaching of Science with special reference to project based learning” for elementary and secondary science teachers and masters, organized by Science wing of State Institute of Education Jammu concluded at SIE here yesterday.
In total 28 teachers and masters of different districts participated. The objective of this workshop was to develop resource group for each district for further training and sensitization of teachers and masters at district level.
In the workshop special focus was given to project based learning where student participation and their involvement in investigation, observation, identification and conclusion making is mandatory which leads to creation of scientific attitude among the students and helps in individual as well as in peer group contribution which enhances the learning outcome.
The programme was organized by Science wing of SIE Jammu headed by K L Parihar (FA) and coordinated by Charan Dass RO,while Sansar Chand, Lecturer HSS Marh, Tarsem Singh, Senior Lecturer HSS Khoon, Nand Kishore (Plus 2 Principal), Puneet THukral RO, Shashi Paul Sharma, Senior Lecturer, J P Singh, Senior Lecturer and B D Sharma, Senior Lecturer acted as resource persons in the said workshop.
The whole programme was carried under the guidance and supervision of Joint Director (trainings) Mohd Iqbal.
