JAMMU, Jan 29: The two-day workshop on “Introduction to R and Statistical Analysis using R-Studio”, organized by the Department of Commerce (SAP: DRS-III), University of Jammu, concluded today.
The resource person was eminent academician Dr Neeraj Kaushik, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, NIT Kurukshetra, who discussed at length all the statistical techniques through R Studio viz. preparation of various kinds of charts, correlation, regression, ANOVA, t-test, Chi-square test, U-test, H-test in six technical sessions. He inspired the participants to take advantage of technology for the purpose of statistical data analysis through softwares like R which is freely available and present the valid and reliable results with different commands.
A total of 70 participants, including faculty members and research scholars from JU, Central University of Jammu, Punjab University, Chandigarh, SMVDU, Katra, Govt SPMR College of Commerce, Govt MAM College, GCW Gandhi Nagar etc attended the workshop.
