Workshop on Research Methodology begins at JU

JAMMU, Dec 7: In an attempt to foster research acumen among scholar, The Business School, University of Jammu, has organized a five-day Research Methodology Workshop under the UGC-SAP (DRS-II).
Prof Keshav Sharma, Dean Faculty of Business Studies and Co-ordinator, SAP- DRS-II, inaugurated the workshop. He urged upon the scholars to be more participative and take research seriously as it is one of the cornerstones of a good institution. He encouraged the scholars to undertake research of international standards and wished them good luck for the week long workshop.
Earlier, Prof B C Sharma, Director, The Business School, said that the workshop is aimed at addressing the difficulties that young researchers face while doing Ph D. He added that the scholars shall be highly benefited from the workshop which includes a mix of basic and advanced research techniques.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra, while addressing the scholars, emphasized on undertaking interdisciplinary research on contemporary topics.
Prof Alka Sharma, while sharing her research experiences, said that research is a time intensive activity and that for getting best results, scholars need to read extensively.
The workshop includes a total of 20 sessions spread over 5 days. The resource persons for the workshop include Prof A K Vashisht from University Business School, Punjab University, Prof Balkrishan from Himachal Pradesh University and faculty member from The Business School.
Dr Komal Nagar, Workshop Coordinator, handled proceedings of the inaugural session. The workshop is being attended by 25 research scholars from varied areas of specialization in Management.
