UDHAMPUR, Dec 5: One-day workshop on ‘Aero Modelling’ was conducted by the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation and Emerging Technology Club at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
Yadvinder Singh Kokkhar, CEO, Khokhar Hobby Tech Bhatinda, Punjab, took a theoretical session on the theory of flight and conducted a practical session on flying handmade models of aircraft.
Students of the AET Club have shown a keen interest in learning about making models and flying models. Students of the AET Club are getting exposure to the latest technologies in the fields of Automation, robotics, 3D printing, aero-modelling etc under the mentorship of faculty mentors, Dr Balbir Singh, Assoc Professor; Dr Yatheshth Anand, Assistant Professor and Dr Mir Irfan Ul Haq, Assistant Professor from the School of Mechanical Engineering.
Chief Guest, Professor Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor SMVDU, advised students to venture into the field of Drone and UAV having vast job potentials in the fields of agricultural, security and defence applications.
Dr Varun Dutta, Secretary of the workshop, facilitated the smooth conduct of the workshop and expressed a vote of thanks in the concluding session of the workshop.
