Workshop on Non Revenue Water Assessment held

JAMMU, Nov 26: A day long workshop on Non Revenue Water Assessment and Loss Reduction (NRWALE) was organized by Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) in the auditorium of Indian Institute of Public Administration,  today.
The event was presided over by Dr Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner/Secretary , PHE/ I&FC Department, and inaugurated by Thaseen Mustafa, CEO, J&K, ERA.
The speakers from Lahmeyer GKW Consult namely Mohd. Munas, JSRK Shastry and Saugata Datta gave detailed presentations on District Metered Area (DMA), scope and services under GIS and NRW loss assessment and its reduction respectively.
Among others the workshop was attended by Er Vinod Sharma, Director Safeguard, Shagufta Qazi, Director Finance and Er Alok Mengi, Director Central J&K ERA.
Er Sushil Aima, Chief Engineer PHE, Jammu along with Superintending Engineers, XEns and AEEs attended the workshop.
Alok Mengi welcomed the participants, while CEO, ERA in his keynote address highlighted the importance of the project and how this workshop is designed to benefit the general public. Er Heinz J K Fenner, team leader, NRW consultants presented the vote of thanks.
